Actually Fascinating. How long will it take until this technology is "common" throughout Europe and North-America? Would be unbelievably great to develop GUIs for this kind of hardware! Can't wait, but 'till 2019 it's only 10 years to go.

"The future is already here, it's just not evenly distributed"—William Gibson. We'll see some people with this stuff, and then a bunch of CRT monitors still being used. :)

I'd like to see an comparable approach from Apple. The World, as it is presented in this Video is – well, let's say too uniform. It doesn't seem real. I'd like to have a more realistic design-approach to these kinds of future-visions.

The presented structures might be feasible, but not implementable into old structures and/or buildings. And with a monetary as it is today these goals are surreal. We need to rethink our system in order to give such kinds of ideas a real chance. I'm thinking about projects alike the Venus-Project. What do you guys think?

Thanks Wenzel.

Apple certainly did some videos like these in the early days…Knowledge Navigator and the like.

re: The Venus Project… lines like:
"The Venus Project presents a bold, new direction for humanity that entails nothing less than the total redesign of our culture. " kind of scare me.
