Google's UI Details

This window is showing Gmail's offline mail feature synchronizing my computer with Google's servers for the first time. I like 3 things about it:

  • Downloads are obviously starting from the most current mail to the oldest, this makes great sense if you don't have time to download everything before disconnecting from the web
  • I'm told how far downloads have progressed in terms of how it really affects me if I stopped the process right now
  • 'Flaky Connection Mode' — a brilliant idea. Most software is designed with a perfect internet connection in mind. Even the most net-blessed of us suffer low bandwidth and unreliable connections when traveling or when our ISP has a cold
